Heart of the Matter: Women's Heart Symposium

The Women’s Heart Symposium is a one-day event for healthcare providers focused on the latest advances in cardiovascular medicine, diagnostics and therapy for women. Experts in the field will discuss standards of cardiovascular care, including traditional and non-traditional risk factors, advanced coronary and valvular disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and the impact of cancer treatment on the heart. Join us to learn from experts, network, and gain valuable insights into the latest advances in cardiovascular care for women.

1. Identify the gaps and prevention methods of traditional and non-traditional cardiovascular risk factors affecting women
2. Discuss the special cardiovascular complications and management of women during pregnancy
3. Explain the incidence, diagnostics and therapeutic approaches of ischemia without coronary disease (INOCA) and myocardial infraction without coronary artery disease (MINOCA) in women
4. Define the diagnostic and therapeutic gaps and standards in ST elevation myocardial infraction and cariogenic shock in women
5. Review the management and special considerations of chronic heart failure in women

Venue Address
The Anlyan Center (TAC) for Medical Research and Education is located at the 300 Cedar St, New Haven, CT 06519. All session will be held in the first floor auditorium.

Parking Information
The Air Rights Garage, is open 24 hours a day and located between North and South Frontage roads, straddling York St.Walking from the garage, head southwest on York Street toward Cedar Street, for approximately 80 feet. Turn left onto Cedar Street. Continue down Cedar Street until you arrive at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Cedar Street. The Anlyan Center will be across the street.

Howard Avenue Garage, 800 Howard Ave, New Haven, CT 06519, opposite from Yale-New Haven Hospital and next to the Yale Physicians Building. The garage is located in between the streets of Davenport and Congress. It is open from 6 am to 9 pm during week days only. Walking from the garage, head south toward Congress Avenue for approximately 300 feet. Turn left onto Congress Avenue and continue walking until you arrive at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Cedar Street. The Anlyan Center is located at this intersection.
