2022 Progress in Human Immunology and Multiple Sclerosis Research

The basic principles of human immunology are rapidly advancing. This symposium will fill a gap between recent discoveries in human immunology and the understanding of human autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.

This two-day activity is designed to bring together diverse clinicians that care for patients with inflammatory disease with immunologists and other health care professionals to learn and discuss new concepts and discoveries in experimental models of autoimmunity and human immunology. Attendees will learn how those findings have led to progress in understanding the mechanisms underlying inflammatory disease with a particular emphasis on multiple sclerosis on day two. We have assembled a distinguished faculty that has led the field of immunology with demonstrated education and/or experience in the content area they are presenting.

This live activity is approved for a maximum of 11.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits(TM). Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

1. Identify the key cell types involved in human inflammatory disease
2. Discuss critical pathways in T cell activation and regulation of T cell function
3. Explore the underlying causes of MS and how to use this knowledge to treat patients.

This is a hybrid two-day symposium. In-person attendance includes refreshment breaks, continental breakfast, and lunch.
