Overview
Cardiovascular disease continues to be the leading cause of death in our society as well as a significant source of morbidity. Health care costs associated with cardiovascular diseases are among the highest. More than ever a strong partnership with our associates in primary care is critical to provide state of the art, streamlined and comprehensive cardiac care. This activity was designed to provide essential updates on frequently encountered topics in cardiology and encourage networking during the event with an emphasis on communication and working relationships with those providers on the front line.

Objectives
  1. Discuss core cardiovascular conditions
  2. Explain appropriate use of cardiovascular testing and therapies
  3. Identify recent advances in cardiovascular procedures and therapies

Accreditation Statement
The Yale School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 

Designation Statement
The Yale School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

MOC Points

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 6.50 Medical Knowledge. Only MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part II program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
