Yale Obesity Symposium 2025

The Yale Obesity Symposium is a one-day CME meeting designed to improve the skill set of general practitioners in treating the disease of obesity, discuss new developments in the field of obesity and how to apply them based on input from leading experts in the field.

The prevalence of obesity has been increasing worldwide and effective management cannot be managed solely by specialists in obesity medicine. This conference aims to educate and empower practitioners from all fields to more effectively treat obesity, and its complications in a comprehensive manner.

We hope you can join us this November 21, 2025, at the Yale Anlyan Center for Medical Research, in New Haven, CT. Both in-person and virtual attendance options available.

1. Understand the multifactorial causes of obesity, including genetic, environmental, and physiologic mechanisms
2. Understand how to perform a complete evaluation of obesity
3. Identify effective approaches to obesity management, encompassing diet, physical activity, medical and surgical therapies
4. Discuss the impact of obesity on various health conditions, including diabetes mellitus, liver disease, insulin resistance and cardiovascular health.
5. Gain insights into the role of healthcare professionals in obesity care and the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration.
