Overview

Provisions of the Connecticut General Statutes require that physicians applying for license renewal in the state of Connecticut must participate in at least 1 hour of accredited CME in each of the following categories: Infectious Diseases (including, but not limited, to HIV/AIDS); Risk Management (including, but not limited to, controlled substances and pain management); Sexual Assault; Domestic Violence; Cultural Competence; and Behavioral Health, provided further that on and after January 1, 2016, such behavioral health continuing medical education may include, but not be limited to, at least two contact hours of training or education on the topic of mental health conditions common to veterans and family members of veterans.

In collaboration with the New England AIDS Education and Training Center’s Connecticut Local Partner, Yale CME will be providing this on demand training opportunity that meets these state-required topics. Together, the teams have developed these lectures that will not only meet the state mandated course requirements to be relicensed but will also provide valuable information for physicians and other health care providers in the state. These webinar lectures were recordings from the live symposium held on April 20, 2024.
