34th Annual Ella T. Grasso Memorial Conference

The 34th Annual Ella T. Grasso Memorial Conference will review significant updates on a variety of topics of importance to gynecologists, oncologists, and other relevant specialties. Topics will include new developments in the management of pre-malignancies and malignancies of the female reproductive tract, advances in precision medicine for the treatment of gynecologic cancers, and updates on the link between obesity and cancer.

This educational activity is held in memory of Ella T. Grasso, born Ella Rose Tambussi, the nation’s first woman to be elected governor in her own right.  In 1980, Grasso was diagnosed with ovarian cancer; ill-health led to her resignation as CT Governor in December of that year. She passed away in Hartford, CT on February 5, 1981. The conference was originally established by Drs. Steven Curry and Peter E. Schwartz, as a joint effort between their two institutions, the University of Connecticut and Yale University, to honor Governor Grasso and to provide the latest information regarding the care of Gynecologic cancer patients to the physicians of Connecticut. It remains one of the longest running cooperative programs involving these two institutions.

2. Utilize new developments in the management of malignancies of the female reproductive tract
3. Evaluate advances in precision medicine for the treatment of gynecological cancers

Registration fee* includes continental breakfast, refreshment breaks, and lunch:

• Non-Yale/UConn Residents/Fellows/Students† – $25
• Yale and UConn Residents/Fellows/Students† – complimentary

*All cancellations must be received in writing (or via e-mail) at least one week prior to the start of the conference to receive a refund. Any requests for refunds received after this date, or by telephone, will not be honored.

†A letter of verification from department head must accompany registration. Letter should be sent separately to Yale CME at the address below. You may also e-mail a pdf copy of your verification letter to [email protected].
