The 13th Annual Interventional Cardiology Symposium: The Intersection of Aging & Cardiovascular Disease, will be hosted by the Yale School of Medicine and Yale's Flagship Interventional Cardiology programs. This full-day event will explore the latest advancements in managing cardiovascular disease in older adults, featuring expert-led discussions, case presentations, and debates on complex coronary, peripheral vascular, and structural heart interventions. Key topics include diagnostic testing, revascularization strategies, innovations in medical therapy, and shared decision-making tailored for the aging population. The symposium will also highlight the latest clinical trials and evolving best practices in geriatric cardiology, offering insights into optimizing patient care. Designed for cardiologists, interventionalists, and healthcare professionals, this symposium promises to deliver cutting-edge knowledge and practical strategies for treating cardiovascular disease in older adults.


Objectives
  1. Enhance competence in age-specific risk stratification, procedural selection, and post-intervention management.
  2. Improve performance in applying shared decision-making models and patient-centered treatment strategies.
  3. Optimize patient outcomes by fostering the adoption of evidence-based, personalized interventional approaches for older adults.
