Men’s Health Symposium: Men's Health Across the Lifespan

Morbidity and mortality rates in males in the United State and abroad are striking. Men do not seek healthcare at the same rate as women and children. We should be creating a culture that promotes good health for all people through healthy development across the lifespan. Shedding light on how government policies as well as public attention have grown to accept poorer male health outcomes is a task that needs to be dissected and attended in public health, health education, health promotion, and community involvement.

This conference intends to review, discuss and fulfill the need to better understand male gender specific issues relating to benign and malignant prostate disease, hypogonadism, male infertility and sexual dysfunctions.

This symposium will be held at the Old Saybrook Point Inn, 2 Bridge St, Old Saybrook, CT.

The inn is conveniently located equidistant from New York City and Boston. Follow Interstate 95 to the point where the salty waters of the Long Island Sound meet the fresh cool waters of the Connecticut River, and there you will find Saybrook.

Driving from Manhattan (Approximately 2 hours):

• Follow I-95 North to CT-154 West in Old Saybrook
• Take Exit 67 from I-95 North
• Merge onto CT-154 West
• Slight left onto Main Street
• Continue onto College Street
• Turn right onto Bridge Street
• Saybrook Point Inn & Spa will be on the left.

Driving from Boston (Approximately 2 hours):

• Follow I-90 West / Massachusetts Turnpike
• Take Exit 10 toward Auburn / Worcester
• Follow signs for US 20 East / I-395 South
• Merge onto I-95 South
• Take Exit 68 to merge onto U.S. 1 South toward Old Saybrook
• Merge onto U.S. 1 South
• Turn left to stay on U.S. 1 South
• Slight left onto Main Street
• Continue onto College Street
• Turn right onto Bridge Street
• Saybrook Point Inn & Spa will be on your left

By Train:

The Inn provides shuttle service to the train station in town. There are two options to get to the Inn by rail from New York:

1. Amtrak from Penn Station, New York to Old Saybrook, CT
2. Metro North from Grand Central Station, New York to New Haven Union Street Station, CT then Shoreline East from New Haven Union Street to Old Saybrook, CT
