Affecting millions globally, asthma and COPD rank among the top five most common chronic diseases according to the WHO. Evolving insights into disease pathogenesis have led to improved patient assessment in the clinic and the development of innovative inhaled, oral, and injectable therapies, highlighting a shift toward a unified approach in phenotyping obstructive airway disease patients. This symposium will explore recent advancements in the pathobiology of asthma and COPD, along with cutting-edge treatments for these conditions.

1. Explore the similarities and differences in the pathobiology and phenotypes of asthma and COPD, and how these influence clinical presentation.
2. Gain insights into the mechanisms of action and clinical trial data for emerging therapies in asthma and COPD treatment.
3. Explain updates in the workup and management strategies for patients with asthma and COPD.
4. Understand the latest GINA and NAEPP guidelines, with a focus on Anti-Inflammatory Rescue Strategies for treating asthma.
