Overview
Despite therapeutic advances, the prognosis of pulmonary hypertension remains poor which likely reflects in part delayed detection of the disease and scarcity of disease modifying therapies currently available. The former is important especially amongst health care providers given the myriad of conditions that can result in pulmonary hypertension, including chronic liver disease, left heart disease, and connective tissue disease. Early recognition of the pulmonary hypertension and recognizing the indication & limitations of current pulmonary artery hypertension-specific therapies are important to allow for prompt and appropriate treatment strategies. Knowledge on the peri-operative, acute, and chronic management strategies of patients with pulmonary hypertension are important for health care provider to understand the complexity of managing patients with pulmonary hypertension. This program is a one-day meeting designed to educate physicians and other health care providers on advances in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary hypertension.

Objectives
  1. Explore current available and novel treatments in PA, acute PE, and PH from left heart disease.
