Overview
Glaucoma impacts nearly 3 million Americans and is the leading cause of irreversible blindness. Advancements in diagnostic, medical, and surgical treatments have heightened patient awareness and enhanced quality of care. This course aims to educate clinicians on innovative techniques to better serve patients with glaucoma.

Objectives
  1. Gain knowledge of the pathophysiology of Normal Tension Glaucoma
  2. Understand the use of OCT in glaucoma and how-to pick-up imaging artifacts
  3. Describe advanced drug delivery methods for glaucoma, including injectable medications and nanoscale delivery systems
  4. Review new paradigms of SLT use in glaucoma and new laser methods of MIGS
  5. Discuss the findings and clinical implications of key glaucoma trials, including the ZAP, EAGLE, and HORIZON studies
  6. Identify the challenges and benefits of using tubes and Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgeries (MIGS) in pediatric glaucoma patients
  7. Gain awareness of the wide array of options for glaucoma surgical management, including MIGS, trabeculectomy, iStent, Hydrus, goniotomy and trabeculotomy
